Councilmember Martin thanked Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Suggs for his <br />presentation; CouncilmembersMoserand Kaminskithanked Finance Director Michael Dolby and <br />his staff for the budget presentation and Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Suggs for his <br />presentation;Councilmember Zemanek thanked Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Suggs <br />for his presentation, commented he is looking forward to a report from Public Works Director Dave <br />Mick, commented on the Ribbon Cutting for Sylvan Beach Pavilion he attended and reminded <br />th <br />everyone of the anniversary of September 11; Councilmember Leonard congratulated the <br />recipients of the proclamation presented and thanked Finance Director Michael Dolby and <br />Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Suggs for their presentations;Councilmember Mosteit <br />thanked staff for their presentations, commented he has concerns about the amendment to the <br />budget in regards to medical insurance and that Council and employees eventually will have to <br />make some adjustments in the future; Councilmember Clausen also thanked Finance Director <br />Michael Dolby and Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Suggs for their presentationsand <br />commented the vote on the amended budget was not encouraging to members of the Chapter 172 <br />Employee, Retiree Insurance & Benefit Board; and he felt they were not given direction by Council <br />not to increase insurance for employees, and the employees will feel the impact later; Mayor Rigby <br />directed staff to provide Council a report on what is being done to assist Mr. Haller with his concern <br />th <br />on 17 <br />Streetand commented the budget presented tonight had been discussed during the April <br />Council Retreat, the Chapter 172 Employee, Retiree Insurance & Benefit Boardhad presented <br />items to Council on two separate occasions, a presentation was presented during the Budget <br />Meetings, and Finance Director Michael Dolby hasadvised Council for years that something needs <br />to be done; and the recommendations werea good step toward getting the health fund issues <br />resolved. <br /> <br />13. EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />The City Council reserves the right to meet in closed session on any agenda item should the need <br />arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government <br />Code. <br />14.
