Employee of the Year for 2019 <br />Ashley Lovercheck, Buyer Purchasing Division <br /> <br />Ashley Lovercheck joined the La Porte team in September of 2013 as a member of the Public <br />Works administration staff. She transferred to Finance in August 2015 as a <br />Purchasing Technician and later transitioned into her current role of Buyer. <br />manager, Cherell Daeumer, nominated her in the 2019 third quarter for her willingness <br />and eagerness to assist others. Ashley took the initiative to develop a WebEx module to train <br />our new users (and refresh others) on all of the Purchasing functions in ONESolution. This <br />the step by step process on how to enter a purchase request, process and approve p-card <br />payments, as well as other purchasing functions. This training method allowed employees to <br />participate without leaving their offices. <br />Year round, 70,000 in rebates. Her diligence in <br />ciling p-card payments in a timely <br />manner is very valuable. Also, Ashely has been instrumental in the City receiving the <br />Achievement of Excellence in Procurement award through the National Procurement Institute <br />for the past five years. One criteria for this award is the use of an electronic, interactive <br />solicitation system. This is demonstrated by online vendor registration, posting, and <br />downloading of solicitations electronically, and posting bid tabulations and award <br />documentation on the Purchasing webpage. All of these items are maintained by Ashley. <br />She is a great asset to the Purchasing team and the City of La Porte team as a whole. She always <br />goes above and beyond to help others. This includes training others in her areas of expertise <br />and pitching in to help city wide events happen. <br />For her technical expertise and her willingness to help customers and teammates, please join <br />me in congratulating Ashley Lovercheck as our Employee of the Year for 2019! <br /> <br />
