Receive report on the Drainage and Flooding Committee meeting. \[Mayor Pro Tem Martin\] <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Martin provided that the Committee had received updates on drainage issues from <br />the City and from the Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) and set the next meeting date <br />for December 13. <br /> <br />8. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, November 18 <br />La Porte Development Corporation Board meeting, December 13 <br />City Council meeting, December 13 <br /> <br />City Manager Corby Alexander reported Johnny Morales has returned to the City as the Emergency <br />Management Coordinator. <br /> <br />9. COUNCIL COMMENTS Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the agenda; <br />items of community interest; and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific factual information or <br />existing policy from the Mayor, Councilmembers, and City staff, for which no formal action will <br />be discussed or taken. <br /> <br />Councilpersons congratulated and thanked those recognized earlier in the meeting; wished everyone <br />a happy Thanksgiving; welcomed back Johnny Morales; proposed an agenda item to prevent vaccine <br />mandates for City employees; encouraged participation in City U.; thanked LPPD for responding to an <br />event at Fairmont Park; reminded all to thank a veter; and shared <br />information on the San Jacinto Monument Illumination this weekend. <br /> <br />ADJOURN Without objection, the Council adjourned at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />_______________________________ <br />Lee Woodward, City Secretary <br /> <br />
