The Sec' y. was instructed to turn over to b~ire Chief Isensee a Vdarrant for X100.00 on December fourth. This amount was appropriated by the Council for use by the Fire Dept. in awarding prizes for attendance and effective work by the members. Ey a moti on by Ald . Counts and second by Ald . Ages the City Secs y. vuas instructed to carry a notice in the local paper notifying the public that it is required that before installing a culvert in a street ditch at private drives or walks a permit must be obtained at the office of City Seery. and culvert installed in accordance with City requirements. Carried. On motion by Ald•, Counts and second by Ald. Ages the Council approved the appointment of C G Sullivan as Foreman on the `aV P A work at a salary of forty cents per hour said service to terminate at~the option of the Council. Carried On motion by Ald. Counts and second by Ald. Agee the City attorney was instructed to draft an Ordinance regulating the sale of liquorssand~.beer'..in La Porte and submit it to the Council at a recessed meeting to be called by the N~ayor. Carried. ! ~~ On motion by Ald. Counts and second by Ald. Agee Ordinance • ri~-2.~ providing for the assessment and collecting of 1935 City Taxes, was adopted: Carried. ~~
