x.02 <br />WBEREAS, the City will have current revenues from. the <br />collection of said taxes available and sufficient to pay said obligations <br />at maturity; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COR~Q~IISSIOPd OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS that the P~ayor snd the City Clerk (Director of <br />Finance) be authorised to issue a promissory note of the City of La Porte, <br />to be designated "Tax Anticipation Note for the Fiscal Year beginning <br />July 1, 1956 and ending Jun® 30, 1957", suoh note to be in the prinoipal <br />sum of Ten Thousand Dollars 010,000.00), to bear interest at the rate of <br />three per cent. (3~) per annum until maturity, with the usual provision <br />for interest at the rate of six per cent. (6~) per annum on past due <br />principal and interest and ten per cent. (10°0) attorney's fees, such <br />note to be due and payable on or before the 15th day of February, A. D. <br />1957, that said note be sold by the City to the First National Bank of <br />La Porte,-Texas, at not less than par value. When suoh note has been <br />duly executed by the ~sayor and City Clerk and delivered to said Bank, <br />with a Dopy of this resolution, such indebtedness thereby evidenced shall <br />be fully binding upon the City; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of La Porte here appropriates and <br />sets aside the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars (~10,000.00~ oat of the currant <br />revenues from the collection of ad valore¢n taxes for the payment of such <br />indebtedness. <br />A,'~D IT IS SO ORDERED. <br />Approved and passed this the 6th day of July, A. The caption of such adopted Ordinance reads as follows; <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING A BOARD OF INSPECTION, SPECIFYING ITS <br />DUTIES, PROVIDING FOR THE CONDEMNATION, REPAIR, OR REMOVAL OF <br />BUILDINGS, SETTING UP PROCEDURE, PROVIDING FOR RESORT TO THE <br />COURTS, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANC~:.IN CON- <br />FLICT THERE'~YITH AND PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE <br />TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A LdISDEMEANOR <br />AND UPON CONVICTION SHALL BE FINED IN ANY SUM NOT LESS THAN <br />TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS 025.00) NOR MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS <br />0200.00) AND EACH DAY OF SUCH VIOLATION SHALL BE DEEMID A <br />SEPARATE OFFENSE. <br />Carried. ~!' <br />
