I <br />• <br />,~ MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING <br />LA PORTS CITY COMMISSION - JULY,2IST, 1961 <br />7:00 P. M. <br />I <br />Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor Pro-Tem <br />Osborn, in the absence of Mayor Pfeiffer, who Was out of town, with the <br />following members present: Commissioners Stabs, and Commissioner. Dunham, <br />(Odell Brown working 4 to 12), Attorney Pitman, Supt. Arthur, and City Clerk <br />Frank G. Baker. <br />Also present was Jim Holley.(Press). <br />Minutes of the last regular and special meetings were read and approved. <br />Carried. <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Osborn asked that the bids on High Lift be opened. Only one <br />bid was received as follows: <br />L. H. "Sonny" Mc Key $900.00 <br />Motion by Dunham, second by Stabs, that the bid of L. H. "Sonny" Mc Key on <br />the High Lift that the City advertised for bids, in the amount of $900.00, <br />be accepted. <br />Carried. <br />The the in front of Siefert~s Trailer Camp was discussed, and it was decided <br />to refer this matter to Commissioner Brown for a decision. <br />Motion by Dunham, second by Stabs, that Commissioner Dunham be authorized to <br />purchase car port for pool, for the sum of $465.00, same to be pur chased <br />from Childers Manufacturing Compar~r, completely installed. <br />Carried. <br />No action was taken on bleachers until there is a full Commission. <br />Motion by Osborn, second by Stabs, that the cost of panel on #!~ well, in <br />the amount of $438.76, from Electrical Controller Products, be ratified. <br />Carried. <br />It was suggested that the holes in the storm sewers be referred to Engineer <br />Carlos Smith, and that he contact Century Construction Company. <br /> <br />Motion by Dunham, second by Stabs, that the Resolution pertaining to the <br />closing of the S, P, freight station in UJest La Porte, be adopted.
