Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Stabs that the request from Bayshore Baptist Church to use <br />the old Fireman's Quarters for their services be rejected. <br />Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />6. A motion was made by Commissioner Osburn, seconded by <br />Commissioner Stabs that the City Engtneer be permitted <br />to attend the Spring meeting of the American Soctety of <br />Civil Engineers, April 28, 29, and 30 in Beaumont. <br />Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />7. Bids were received for the sale of the South Fourteen <br />(14) feet, save the South Six feet (6) of Lot No. <br />Twenty-Two (22) in Block No. Sixty (60) of the Town <br />of La Porte. La Porte State Bank submitted a bid <br />stating the following considerations: <br />1. The sum of Ten Dollars (.10.00) cash; and <br />2. The conveyance to the City of the South Ten (10) <br />Feet of Lot No. 24, Block No. 60, Town of <br />La Porte. <br />Commissioner Baker made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Osburn that the City sell La Porte State Bank said <br />property for the above stated considerations and an <br />easement through their now existing property. Motion <br />carried. <br />+ + + <br />8. Commissioner Stabs made a mottos, seconded by Commissioner <br />Baker and carried that the following accounts payable <br />be approved for payment. <br />Gulf Oil Corporation .484.60 <br />Appiebe & Wa11s 391.00 <br />Gamon Meter Company 825.00 <br />Guff States Asphalt Company 142.50 <br />Lansdowne Moody Company 141.33 <br />Mustang Tractor Company 250.00 Est. <br />Highway Construction Materials Co. 2,359.80 <br />+ + + <br />9. A motion was made by Commissioner Baker, seconded by <br />Commissioner Osburn that a Special meeting be called <br />for 5:30 P. M. Aprit 28, 1965 to canvass the votes of <br />the Election of April 27, 1965. Motion Carried. <br />+ + + <br />
