Pfeiffer, <br />Commissioners Russell Shepherd, W. A. Stabs, Jr., and <br />Lois J. Compton. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COINISSION ABSENT: Tom IN. Osburn <br />OTHER CITY OFF/C/ALS PRESENT: City Attorney Knox Askins, <br />Chief of Police H. F. Freeman, City Engineer H. <br />Carlos Smith, and City Clerk Marilyn Kelley. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer <br />+ + + <br />9. Minutes of the Regular meeting of October 4, 1965 <br />and the Special meeting of October 6, 1965 were <br />approved as written. <br />+ + + <br />2. Bids for the construction of the new Library, Civic <br />Center and Jatl additions were received. from Moore <br />& Moore, Spaw Glass, /nc., and John Kroak, /nc. (See <br />Exhibif No. 9). Action was tabled for tabulatton of <br />bids. <br />+ + + <br />3. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Shepherd and carried that Resolution <br />be passed on first and final reading. <br />CAPTION: <br />A RESOLUTION TO PROCLAIM THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER, 1965 <br />AS "LA FORTE INDUSTRY APPRECIATION MONTH". <br />+ + + <br />4. A motion was made by Commissioner Shepherd and <br />seconded by Comr»issioner Compton that C. L. Pttman <br />no longer be authorized to handle any City Business. <br />Further that ail assignments be turned over to Knox <br />Askins. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />
