r <br /> <br />6. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Compton that Purchase Order No. 5161, Brooks Products, .135.00. <br />be approved. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />7. A motion was made by Commissioner Shepherd, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Stabs and canted that the following persons be appointed to <br />serve as a Study Committee on Low Rent Housing: <br />Rev. Joe Durden Mrs. ldadore Jenkins Archie Ptnkney <br />Bruce Angel Mrs. Ruth Fuqua' Rev. Wallace Ford <br />Jack Harris <br />+ + + <br />8. A motion was made by Commissioner Osburn, and seconded by Commis- <br />sinner Stabs that George Norris be allowed to extend his water <br />line with a 1" line, paying normal cost of line and labor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> + + + <br />9. Commissioner Osburn was requested to make a study of possible <br /> methods of assessing for the construction of water and sewer lines. <br /> + + + <br /> <br />10. A motion was made by Commissioner Osburn, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Shepherd and carried, that the City waive the 30~ per load hauling <br /> cosf of shell for Churches. He further moved that the First Baptist <br /> Church be sold 120 yards of shell @ 2.00 per yard, to be placed in <br /> the a11ey behind their church. Motion carried. <br /> + + + <br />11. A motion was made by Commissioner Compton and seconded by Commis- <br /> sioner Stabs that the Director of Public Works be authorized to <br /> re-work Virginia Street from East Main to Park and "D" 6treet <br /> from San Jacinto to Broadway. Further that he be authorized to <br /> rent a pulverizer and motor grader for this work. Motion carried. <br /> + + + <br />12. Commissioner Shepherd made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Osburn that a resolutton authorizing the Ctty Attorney to <br /> negotiate for an aerial navigation easement at the end of the <br /> N.W. - S.E. runway of the Airport.
