M. <br />MEMBERS OF TI-!E COMM/SS/ON PRESENT: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer, Commissioners <br />harles D. Boyle, Lois J. Compton, W. A. Stabs, and Russell Shepherd. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMM/SS/ON ABSENT: None <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: City Attorney Knox Askins, City Engineer H. <br />Carlos Smith, and City Clerk Martlyn Kelley. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ + + <br />1. Mayor Pfeiffer stated that the meeting had been called to discuss <br />the Water Distribution Systems Bond Project. <br />The City Attorney advised the Commission that the Buddy Warren <br />Company, Inc. did abandon the job and were given the ten day <br />notice as required by Caw. They made no response. He further <br />advised that on July 23rd the United States Fidelity and Guaranty <br />Company were notffied. <br />Mr. James G. Sargent, representing the bonding company, stated that <br />his company are in the process of securing bids for the completion <br />of the project. He further stated that they would let the bid <br />subject to the approval of the City. <br />The City Attorney recommended that the City extend the time until <br />Monday, August 15, 1966. <br />+ + + <br />2. Mrs. A. R. Smith, representing her father R. L. Stinson, 301 So. <br />Holmes, requested that the City re-route the new sewer line on "B" <br />Street in order to eliminate the loss of several trees. <br />After considerable discussion, Commissioner Boyle made a motion, <br />seconded by Commissioner Stabs that the Cine be angled to the center <br />of the street and continued down the center. Commissioners Boyle <br />and Stabs voted "yes", with Commissioners Compton, and Shepherd and <br />Mayor Pfeiffer noting "no". <br />The Commission advised Mrs. 6mith that the contractor will move <br />the frees for the party. <br />+ + + <br />:~~ <br /> <br />
