Representives from North Side asked what steps have been taken <br />concerning the creation of a Public Housing Authority. <br />Mayor Pfeiffer stated that so far the Commission is not completely <br />satisfied there is a need for 'the project. He promised that the <br />Commission would take a further Cook at the question. He further <br />stated that the Commission would sef another meeting and ask <br />Mr. Elwin Fitch to speak again. <br />+ + + <br />6. Commissioner Stabs advised the Commission that the old Jail <br />Building is in bad need of repairs. He recommended that repairs be made to <br />the down stairs, the stairway, the up stairs windows and floors. <br />Commissioner Stabs was authorized to get an estimate of the cost of <br />repairs. <br />+ + + <br />7. The City Attorney was instructed to check into the possibility <br />of an ordinance regulating the construction of pipe lines in <br />our City. <br />+ + + <br />8. The City Clerk was instructed to prepare a report on a possible <br />retirement plan for the City employees. <br />+ + + <br />9. The City Engineer presented the following estimates for the <br />construction of new sewer lines: <br />Civic Center - From old Civic Center to new bldg. ~ 720.00 <br />Ltbrary - From East "C" to new building 2,480.00 <br />Block 43, Bayfront Addition 2,669.00 <br />The Engineer was instructed to secure competitive bids. <br />+ + + <br />70.
