<br />(3) Re-advertise for bids on the addition to the <br />JaiC Building. <br />(4) Re-set the date to receive Garbage Truck bids, <br />until 4;00 P.M., November 98, 9968. <br />(5) Authorize Mr. Smith to proceed with the survey <br />work for the Texas Atr National Guard. <br />(6) Authorize Clifford Ellis to inspect the construction <br />of the Brookglen Sub-division. <br />(7) Authorize Mr. Smith to proceed with the drawings <br />for the installation of the flow meter. <br />(8) The City office will handle the completion of <br />the block book maps. <br />Commissioner Boyle recommended that action be fabled. <br />After considerable discussion, Commissioner Compton moved, <br />seconded by Commissioner Crofoat, that Mr. Smith be authorized <br />to ~:roceed with the Airport application, that the levee bids <br />be re-advertise d, to be received at 4:00 P.h~., November 22, <br />996E, and that the Garbage truck bids be received at 4:00 P.M., <br />November 98, 9968. The following tabulation of bids for the purchase of a 9969 <br />Police car wes received; <br />Joe Camp, Inc. - Base Bid .3,034.33 <br />Less Trade 350.00 <br />Net Bid X2,684.33 <br />Jay Marks Chevrolet - Base Bid X2,969.54 <br />Less Trade 750.00 <br />Net Bid .2,299.53 <br />Commissioner Crofoot stated that the Trade-in car was wrecked <br />after the bids were advertised, and that Joe Camp bid the <br />trade as a wrecker' car and that Jay Marks Chevrolet bid it <br />as a repaired vehcile. <br />Commissioner Crofoot made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Compton, that the Chief of Police, Commissioner Crofoot, and <br />others meet with each of the bidders and work out a solution. <br />Further, that if necessary, that the City Clerk be authorized <br />to re-advertise for bids.
