<br />4. A motion was made by Commissioner Crofoot, and seconded <br />by Commissioner Compton, that the City re-advertise for <br />bids for the addition to the Jail building, bids to <br />be received at 4;00 P.M., November 22, 1968. Motion <br />carried. <br />+ + + <br />5. Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Crofoot, That H. E. Hunt be authorized to attend the <br />Advanced Methods for Water Pollution and Analysis School, <br />in Houston. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />6. A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by <br />Commissioner Compton, and carried, that the purchase <br />of the following area lighting fixtures for the Civic <br />Center be approved: <br />4 General Electric Fixtures C' 105.00 ,~ 420.00 <br />16 Marlin Associates C' 39.40 $ 612.40 <br />,~ 1, 032.40 <br />+ + + <br />7. Commissioner Crofoot made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Compton, that the employment of Jack Maxwell as a Police <br />Officer, ~6 575.00 per month, be ratified. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />8. A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by <br />Commissioner Compton and carried, that Knox Askins be <br />paid ~ 1,563.73 for his 15/ of Delinquent Ta~c Collections <br />July thru October, and that he be released from the Delinquent <br />Tax work as he requested. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />9. Mayor Pfeiffer commended Mrs Ruth Huddleston for the <br />outstnading work she has done in the preparation of the <br />1968 Current Tax Roll. <br />+ + + <br />10. H. Carlos Smith ask for a clearification of the policy <br />regarding vacation time to be paid at the time of termination. <br />Action was tabled for study. <br />s <br />+ + + <br />68-102 <br />
