Mr. Uel Price and Mr. Ed Falk spokesmen for the <br />Clear Creek Basin Authority addressed the <br />Commission and asked them to leave the X4,020 <br />which the City had deposited with the Authority <br />as it was being put to good use. <br />After a lengthy discussion the Commission agreed <br />to leave the money with the Clear Creek Basin <br />Authority, but asked Mr. Falk to report back to <br />the Commission after a meeting between the <br />Gulf Coast Waste Authority and the Clear Creek <br />Basin Authority. <br />+ + + <br />11 Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by <br />Commissioner Thomas to accept the bid of X7.00 <br />per curbed mile from Commercial Street Sweeping <br />Service and to sign a contract after getting an <br />exact figure on curbed miles. Motion carried by <br />the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Burgin <br />and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />12. Motion by Commissioner Burgin, seconded by <br />Commissioner Crofoot that the Mayor be authorized <br />to sign and the City Clerk to attest the <br />service contract with Zomax. Motion by Commissioner Crofoot, seconded by <br />Commissioner Burgin to ratify the hiring of <br />Ben W. Green as a new patrolman.
