7. The Commission discussed at length the type <br />of work to be done by the Arnold-Roblin Co. <br />with Mr. Bob Sylvester, Manager of the La Porte <br />plant. After determining that no manufacturing <br />was to be done at the location, the Commission <br />offered no objection to the Company operating <br />in La Porte. <br />+ + + <br />8. Mr. Biggs, spokesman for residents of the <br />Bay Colony and Shady Oaks area addressed the <br />Commission in regards to their being annexed <br />by the City of Shoreacres. <br />Mayor Smith stated the Commission is concerned <br />with the disposition of the Bayshore Municipal <br />Utilities District and upon Commission approval <br />a letter would be sent to the City of Shoreacres <br />stating La Porte's desire that the matter be <br />settled. Mayor Smith read the letter (see exhibt <br />3) and asked for Commission approval for the <br />letter to be signed and sent to the Mayor of <br />Shoreacres. <br />Motion by Commissioner Burgin, seconded by <br />Commissioner Crofoot authorizing Mayor Smith <br />to sign the letter. Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Burgin, Crofoot, and Mayor Smith. <br />NAYS: Commissioners Thomas and gibodeaux. <br />+ + + <br />9. Motion by Commissioner Thomas, seconded by <br />Commissioner Kibodeaux to adopt Resolution No. 70- <br />3 as presented.
