Thomas, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux <br />to adopt the Employee Work Rules as read and the <br />rules be attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux and Burgin. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Crofoot. <br />+ + + <br />9. Discussion was held on the method by which the Gulf <br />• Area Water and Wastewater Operators Association <br />meetings are sponsored. Mayor Smith stated the <br />various cities in the association sponsored the <br />meetings at city expense, and there would be a <br />meeting on April 14, 1971 at LaMarque to discuss <br />this method. The Mayor stated he would attend <br />the meeting and also Mr. Cline to attend. <br />Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Thomas <br />that the City of La Porte continue to sponsor one <br />meeting a year as they have in the past. Motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux and Burgin. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Crofoot. <br />+ + + <br />10. Motion by Comm. Thomas, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux <br />to suspend the order of business to take up an item <br />not on the agenda.
