Motion by Comm. Sampson, seconded by Comm. Thomas <br />to ratify the termination of the position of <br />City Administrator as of September 30, 1971. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux and Sampson. <br />NAYS: Commissioner Crofoot. <br />Mayor Smith stated although he has no official <br />vote, he would like for the minutes to reflect <br />his voting against the motion. <br />+ + + <br />9. Mayor Smith read reports on insurance coverage of <br />city equiptment and facilities, garbage and trash <br />collection and delinquent water billing. <br />• Mayor Smith stated Comm. Thomas's motion had taken <br />care of the garbage and trash report. <br />Comm. Kibodeaux stated he would have a recommendation <br />on the delinquent water billing at the next meeting. <br />Motion by Comm. Thomas, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux <br />to postpone for additional study the insurance report. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Sampson <br />and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />10. Comm. Crofoot read the following bids received <br />June 21, 1971 at 4:30 P.M. for a police car. <br />Joe Camp r'ord X3,349.99 <br />Jay Marks Chevrolet 3,098.00 <br />Motion by Comm. Crofoot, seconded by comm. Sampson <br />to accept the low bid from Jay Marks Chevrolet. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />• AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Sampson <br />and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br /> <br />+ + + <br />
