Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. <br />Boyle to appoint James Crate as communications <br />officer and Tom Simons as assistant director <br />of Civil Defense. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Sampson and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />• + + + <br />12. Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Boyle <br />to purchase an IBM typewriter for the Court <br />Clerk. Mayor Thomas read a letter of resignation <br />from Gary L. Wood as a member of the La Porte <br />Housing Board. Mayor Thomas recommended <br />appointing Mrs. Zula Stanford as a member <br />of the Board to fill the vacancy created <br />by Mr. Wood's resignation. <br />Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. <br />Christen to appoint Mrs. Zula Stanford as <br />a member of the Housing Board. Motion <br />• carried by the following vote: <br />5" <br />
