• <br />Regular Meeting 7/3/'72 - continued <br />• Mayor Thomas advised Mr. Miller to meet with <br />the Airport Commission regarding his request <br />and they would make a recommendation to the <br />Commission. Mayor Thomas explained this was <br />in accordance with the City Charter. <br />Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. <br />Sampson to postpone for additional study <br />Mr. Miller's request. Motion carried by <br />the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Sampson and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />l~. Mayor Thomas stated the Commission had authorized <br />him to send a letter to Mayor Shell Martin of <br />Shoreacres regarding the contractual services <br />for ambulance service and police calls between <br />Za Porte and Shoreacres. Mayor Thomas read a <br />• copy of'.the letter which had been sent to <br />Mayor Martin and each member of the Shoreacres <br />City Council. (See exhibit A) <br />+ + + <br />18. Jack Oliphant, Fire Chief, reported quotations <br />had been received for a radio for the new fire <br />truck and his recommendation was to purchase <br />the Motorola unit as statistics prove these <br />units require less maintenance. <br />Motion by Comm. Boyle, seconded by Comm. <br />Christensen to purchase the radio from <br />Motorola for $812.15. Motion carried by <br />the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Sampson and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br /> <br />• 19. Comm.
