Mrs. Elsie Moore, Visitor, addressed the <br />Commission in regards to a water bill received Moore's <br />by her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Ronald protest <br />Moore, who live at 601 S. Iowa. Mrs. Moore water <br />stated she was speaking for them and she thought bill <br />the bill they had received in the amount of $26.63 <br />for 28,000 gallons of water was an unfair bill <br />and she was petitioning the Commission to adjust <br />the bill as she did not believe there had been <br />a leak. <br />Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. <br />Boyle that the Commission study Mrs. Moore's <br />request and get all the facts before making a <br />decision and that this be placed on the agenda <br />for the next meeting of November 6, 1972. Motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Sampson and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />~1 <br />+ + + <br />4. Mayor Thomas announced it was 7:15 p.m., and called <br />for bids received for waterproofing the city hall Bids Recd <br />complex. Only one bid was received and it was from to water <br />A. M. Bowles, Company, in the amount of $6,731.00. proof city <br />hall <br />Motion by Comm. Boyle, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux <br />to accept the bid for tabulation, with approval or <br />rejection being made after tabulation. Motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Sampson and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />5. Robert Thrower, Visitor, addressed the Commission <br />to question the hiring of Eugene Hovey as the auditor <br />since Mr. Hovey does accounting work for the City. <br />• <br />
