When a holiday falls on a Saturday, Friday will be <br />observed. When one falls on a Sunday, Monday will be taken. <br />3. All employees will be paid one day's pay for each <br />official holiday. To be eligible for holiday pay the <br />employee must work the scheduled workday preceeding and <br />following the holiday unless absence with excuse is accept- <br />able to the department head. <br />4. When an employee has to work on a holiday, it can be <br />handled in one of the following ways: (With consent of <br />department head) <br />a. Take the next day off <br />b. Take it as a day excused leave: <br />c. Be paid. at the regular rate <br />• <br />
