• <br />• ANNUAL VACATION LEAVE <br />t ii g e e .; 1 1 .. <br />1. The City's vacation period shall be January 1 through <br />December 31. <br />2. An employee must be employed by the City for one full <br />year before he is eligible for any vacation . <br />3. Each employee who has been in the continuous service <br />of the City for one full year shall be entitled to ten (10) <br />working days vacation with pay each year until his tenth <br />anniversary is obtained. Then each employee with ten years <br />or more continuous service shall be entitled to fifteen <br />(15) working days vacation with pay each year, until his <br />20th anniversary is obtained, then each employee with <br />• 20 years continuous service shall be entitled to twenty <br />(20) working days vacation with pay each year. <br />4. All vacations must be taken in the calendar year in <br />which they are due. (For example: An employee begins <br />work on June 1, 1973. As of June 1, 1974 he is eligible for <br />ten (10) working days vacation. This must be taken from <br />June 1, 1974 through December 31, 1974.) Thereafter <br />he converts to January 1 until December 31. <br />5. If a permanent employee terminates, he shall receive a <br />proration of the vacation pay for which he is eligible at <br />that time. (This section does not apply in the case of an <br />employee who is dismissed for theft, dishonesty, or abuse of <br />• City equipment, or any other justifiable reason.) <br />
