~ ~ • <br />• Regular Meeting 7/16/73 - continued <br />Mr. Kooken stated he felt that city drainage was <br />the cause of the flooding and he wanted to know <br />what the city planned to do about drainage in <br />that area. <br />Dr. and Mrs. P. J. Mock Sr., 410 S. 2nd, also Dr. Mock <br />complained of flooding at their office on S. complains of <br />Broadway and inquired as to when the new water line, property being <br />that he had been promised, was going to be put in flooded <br />on S. 2nd Street. <br />Mayor Thomas asked Mr. Kooken and Dr. Mock if they <br />were aware of how much the ground in this area had <br />subsided, which of course affected the drainage. <br />He stated the city could not promise that the <br />problem could be corrected, but that the city engineer <br />would check on it to see what, if anything, could <br />be done. <br />Comm. Kibodeaux informed Dr. Mock that the new <br />water line would be completed in the next couple <br />of weeks. <br />• <br />+ + + <br />5. Mrs. N. J. Motion by Comm. Price, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux Street light <br />to approve the installation of a street light at at Utah & "B" <br />Utah and "B" Streets.
