Mr. George Blassingame, plumbing contractor Geo.Blassingame <br />for the Garden Walk Townhouses, addressed addressed the <br />the Commission in regards to the type of Commission <br />material he was using to install the gas regarding <br />lines at the project. He stated he was the use of <br />using a new plastic material for gas lastic <br />pipe <br />connections and at one time the city's for <br />gas meter <br />ins ector had a roved the material. He <br />P PP installations <br />stated that galvanized pipe will rust in this at Garden Walk <br />area, and he was trying to put in a service Townhouses <br />line that would last. He stated the plastic <br />material is not covered by the city building <br />code, but was as good as the material specified, <br />and to replace it would cost several thousand <br />dollars. <br />Mayor Thomas informed Mr. Blassingame that <br />the material would have to be checked by <br />the city's engineer and that he would be <br />informed of the engineer's decision. <br />+ + + <br />6. Motion by Comm. Christensen, second <br />Price to approve partial estimate # <br />McKey Construction in the amount of <br />for work on the northside water and <br />line extensions. Motion carried by <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners <br />Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner <br />• + <br />ed by Comm.
