Thomas, <br />Commissioners C. D. Christensen, I. J. Kibodeaux, <br />C. D. Boyle and A. Uel Price. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None. <br />OTHER CITY I~FFICALS PRESENT: Larry L. Broussard, Director <br />of Finance; Virginia Cline, City Clerk; Knox Askins, City <br />• Attorney, Robert Cline, Director of Public Works; H.F. Freeman, <br />Chief of Police and A. J. Busch, Jr., City Engineer. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Thomas. <br />+ + + <br />1. Mayor Thomas called the special meeting to order <br />and stated the purpose of the meeting was to take <br />final action on the pending annexation proceedings, <br />but before the Commission could take action, it was <br />necessary to meet with the City Attorney in executive <br />session to discuss the lawsuit brought against the <br />City of La Porte by the City of Shoreacres regarding <br />the proposed annexation. <br />Motion by Comm. Price, seconded by Comm. Christensen <br />to adjourn the meeting for an executive session with <br />the City Attorney. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Price <br />and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />• <br />+ + + <br />
