Public Hearing to Consider Application from Public <br />Mr. Herschel Owen for Taxi Cab Franchise. Hearing <br />for Taxi <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Boyle called the Public Hearing Cab Franchi~ <br />to order and asked the petitioner Mr. Herschel <br />Owen to address the Commission. <br />Mr. Owen stated he had been granted a franchise <br />to operate a taxi service in the City of Morgan's <br />Point and he was receiving from 20 to 25 calls <br />a day for service in La Porte. He stated he <br />would appreciate the chance to operate in La Porte <br />as he felt the business was here. <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Boyle asked if there was anyone present <br />to speak against the application and there being <br />none, declared the hearing closed. <br />Motion by Comm. Price, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux Taxi cab <br />that Mr. Herschel Owen be granted a franchise to franchise <br />operate a taxi cab service in La Porte.
