• <br />• Regular Meeting 2/4/74 - continued <br />amount represented the city's share of profits <br />from the sale of material recycled through the <br />Bayshore Recycling Center. <br />Mrs. Meadows stated that request for recycling <br />services in La Porte were increasing, which <br />indicated that citizens want to recycle, but <br />facilities to service everyone were not available. <br />She stated the Recycling Center was willing to <br />assist the city in the recycling program and <br />urged the city to participate. <br />Mayor Thomas expressed the Commissions appreciation <br />to Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Meadows for the donation <br />and their interest in their community and the <br />recycling program. He asked that they meet with <br />Comm. Christensen to discuss ways the City could <br />participate. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />6. Motion by Comm. Price, seconded by Comm. <br />Christensen to award the bid for two (2) <br />dump trucks to the low bidder, Jim Ball <br />International, in the amount of $11,949.94. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />7.
