<br />• Regular Meeting 10/23/74 - Continued 4 <br />5. REZONING - CONTINUED - <br />Mayor Thomas asked if there was anyone present desiring <br />to speak in opposition to the rezoning? There being <br />none, declared the hearing closed. <br />The meeting of the City Commission recessed while the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission met on the requests for <br />rezoning. <br />Mayor Thomas called the meeting to order and the <br />recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />to approve the rezoning of Lots 9, 10, and 11, Block 72 <br />from Residential to Commercial was read. <br />Motion by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner <br />Kibodeaux to approve the rezoning of Lots 9, 10, and <br />11, Block 72, from Residential to Commercial. Motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price, and Boyle. <br />• NAYS: None. <br />~(A) ORDINANCE NO. 780-W REZONING LOTS 9, 10, 11, BLOCK <br />72, TOWN OF LA PORTE - After the ordinance was read <br />in full, motion by Commissioner Price, seconded by <br />Commissioner Kibodeaux to adopt Ordinance No. 780-W <br />as read. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 780, <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY CHANGING <br />THE CLASSIFICATION OF THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND <br />HEREIN DESCRIBED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />HEREOF. <br />+ + + <br />The recommendation from the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission to approve the rezoning of 8.9957 Acres, <br />E. Brinson Survey, Abstract 5, Harris County, Texas, <br />was read. <br /> <br />
