• <br />• Regular Meeting 3/3/75 4 <br />5. JOINT PUBLIC HEARING - CONTINUED <br />It was ascertained that notices to all property owners <br />and property owners within 200 feet of the property under <br />consideration for rezoning were mailed on February 14, <br />1975, and that a Public Notice of this hearing was published <br />in the official newspaper of the City on February 13, 1975; <br />A copy of said notice and property description is attached and <br />made a part of these minutes. <br />Mr. Walter Roberson, Chairman of the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission was recognized and located the property in <br />question on the map. <br />Mayor Thomas asked if there was anyone desiring to speak <br />in opposition to the rezoning. There being none, asked if <br />there was anyone desiring to speak in favor of the rezoning. <br />There being none, declared the joint public hearing closed. <br />Upon the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />to rezone the West 1/2 Block 72, West 1/2 Block 73, West 1/2 <br />Block 96, West 1/2 Block 97, West 1/2 Block 338, and the East <br />• 1/2 Block 616. All of Blocks 613, 614, 615, 327, 328, 329, <br />330, 331, 332, 439, 973, 974, 975, 976, 977, 978,979, Town <br />of La Porte, from Residential to Commercial; the other tract <br />from the drainage ditch at "L" Street West to 16 Street, <br />North on 16 Street to Hwy. 225 and back on the City Limit <br />line on the South side of the Tunnel and come back down the <br />bay front line and back down to the railroad track at <br />Broadway, from Residential to Commercial with Special Use <br />Permits for Light Industry. Motion by Commissioner Price, <br />seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux to rezone the above <br />stated property. A copy of said description is attached and <br />made a part of these minutes. Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 19, 1975 - <br />Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner <br />Christensen to approve the minutes of the regular meeting <br />• of February 19, 1975. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />
