<br />8. CONSIDER SETTING DATE OF JUNE 16, 1975, AT 7:00 P.M. FOR
<br />JOINT PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER REZONING THE EAST ONE-HALF
<br />OF OUTLOT 14, NEBRASKA SYNDICATE AND THE EAST ONE-HALF OF
<br />BLOCK 645, ALL OF BLOCKS 646, 647, 648; THE EAST ONE-HALF OF
<br />BLOCK 652, ALL OF BLOCKS 651, 650, 649; THE EAST ONE-HALF OF
<br />BLOCK 681, ALL OF BLOCKS 682, 683, 684; THE EAST ONE-HALF OF
<br />BLOCK 688, ALL OF BLOCKS 687, 686, AND 685, TOWN OF LA PORTE,
<br />FROM RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL, AND NO SPECIAL USE PERMITS
<br />ALLOWED - Motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Love to set date of June 16, 1975 at 7:00 P.M. for joint public
<br />hearing to consider rezoning the east one-half of Outlot 14,
<br />Nebraska Syndicate, from residential to commercial; limited
<br />to nursing home use; no special use permits allowed.
<br />Also the date of June 16, 1975, at 7:00 P.M. for joint public
<br />hearing to consider rezoning the east one-half of Block 645,
<br />all of Blocks 646, 647, 648; the east one-half of Block 652,
<br />all of Blocks 651, 650, 649; the east one-half of Block 681,
<br />all of Blocks 682, 683, 684; the east one-half of Block 688,
<br />all of Blocks 687, 686, and 685, Town of La Porte, from
<br />residential to commercial and no special use permits allowed.
<br />The two hearings to be advertised separately.
<br />• Motion carried by the following vote:
<br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Boyle.
<br />NAYS: None.

<br />9. CORRESPONDENCE - A. ATTORNEY'S OPINION - SPEED BUMPERS -
<br />After the attorney's opinion had been read in full and a
<br />lengthy discussion regarding speed bumpers, the law referred
<br />to in the opinion, the possibility of the use of button tiles
<br />and street signs, motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded by
<br />Commissioner Boyle that this item be postponed for additional
<br />study by Chief Freeman. Chief Freeman will report back to the
<br />Commission. A copy of said opinion is attached and made a part
<br />of these minutes. Motion carried by the following vote:
<br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Boyle.
<br />NAYS: None.
