CONSIDER APPROVING PAYMENT TO BUSCH, HUTCHISON & <br />6 <br />ASSOCIATES, INC., FOR SYSTEMATIC SEWER SYSTEM EVALUA- <br />TION SURVEY IN THE AMOUNT OF 2 ,209.67 - Motion by <br />Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner Boyle <br />to approve payment to Busch, Hutchison & Associates, Inc., <br />in the amount of $29,209.67 for the Systematic Sewer <br />System Evaluation Survey. Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />15. CONSIDER APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT OF $5,000.00 TO NIXDORF <br />Motion by Commissioner Love, seconded by Commissioner <br />Cline to accept the recommendation of the Director of Finance <br />and approve final payment of $5,000.00 to Nixdorf for the <br />computer and programs, which have been approved and received. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />16. CORRESPONDENCE - Mayor Thomas read the following <br />correspondence: <br />A. LETTER FROM TOM BASS, COMMISSIONER inviting <br />Mayors and Civil Defense Coordinators to attend a <br />seminar concerning hurricane preparedness planning. <br />A copy is attached and made a part of these minutes. <br />B. LETTER FROM FRIENDS OF THE LA PORTE PUBLIC LIBRARY - <br />Pledging $4,000.00 for use in the expansion of the Library. <br />C. LETTER FROM CITY OF HOUSTON, FRED HOFHEINZ - Regarding <br />Houston Lighting & Power Rate Increase Hearings. A copy <br />is attached and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />D. LETTER FROM TEXAS WATER DEVELOPMENT BOARD - Regarding <br />Application from Chemlime Corporation for approval of a <br />proposed levee project.
