DISCUSS MEXICAN CARAVAN - (Cont'd.) <br />• <br />3 <br />PARADE - There was a discussion regarding a parade for <br />October 4, 1975, for the visitors. <br />Motion by Commissioner Love, seconded by Commissioner <br />Boyle that Mr. Al Pena be appointed as Parade Chairman <br />and Larry Broussard and Chief Freeman as committee members. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />SCHOOL BUSSES NEEDED FOR TRANSPORTATION - There was some <br />discussion regarding the need for buss~sfor transporting <br />the visitors to the various activities. Mr. Leo Rizzuto, <br />of the School Board informed the Commission that he would <br />ask if the School Board would approve lending two large <br />school busses to the City to be used over the weekend, <br />to take the visitors to various activities, during the <br />time the visitors were here. <br />GIFTS - There was a brief discussion regarding guts <br />to be given the visitors of official rank. <br />TENTATIVE SCHEDULE - After much discussion the following <br />tentative schedule was arrived at: <br />SATURDAY - 10/4/75 9:00 A.M. Parade <br /> 2:00 P.M. NASA Tour <br /> 8:00 P.M. Barbeque <br />SUNDAY - 10/5/75 9:00 A.M. Astroworld - Dome <br /> 4:00 P.M. Reception (Public) <br />MONDAY - 10/6/75 9:00 A.M. Boat Tour <br /> 7:00 P.M. Commission Meeting <br />TUESDAY - 10/7/75 9:00 A.M. Sea Arama <br /> 12:00 Noon Rotary Club <br />-0- <br />It was the consensus of opinion that Commissioner Love would <br />try to go to Mexico with Mr. Montiel on Thursday. <br /> <br />
