0 Regular Meeting 10/22/75 10 <br />22. CORRESPONDENCE - The following correspondence was read: <br />A. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department - Informing the <br />City that the Fairmont Park Development Project had been <br />forwarded to the Regional Office. A copy is attached and <br />made a part of these minutes. <br />B. San Jacinto College - Informing the City that the <br />Automotive Mechanics Department of the College had leased <br />the property at 212 Main Street to accomodate classes. A <br />copy is attached and made a part of these minutes. <br />C. Texas Water Quality Board - Two notices for public <br />hearings. Copies are attached and made a part of these <br />minutes. <br />23. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - It was noted that <br />Mr. James Wyatt of Houston Lighting & Power Company had <br />filed a letter regarding a proposed rate increase with the <br />City Clerk on October 22, 1975. <br />COMMISSIONER LOVE - informed the Commission that the <br />weeds were being cut on the right-of-ways and the City <br />had been divided into sections for future cutting and <br />it would be continued. <br />Bayshore Neighborhood Center had furnished a copy of their <br />policies to Commissioner Love, if anyone desired a copy <br />it would be furnished. <br />COMMISSIONER CLINE - stated that if there were no objections, <br />she would contact Mr. Poorman of the State Highway Department <br />regarding possible funds being available for work on 8th Street <br />from "J" to Bay Pointe. She was of the opinion that 8th Street <br />would qualify for said funds. <br />COMMISSIONER BOYLE - requested consideration to the Commissioners <br />to possibly lease the CPR Machine and three Hospital Encoders <br />that were no longer being used since the City no longer has the <br />ambulance service. <br />After a brief discussion, it was determined that a lease <br />agreement would be prepared. <br />11 <br />
