Jack - Ba town - Mr. Gray addressed <br />the Commission stating t at a was t e devBloper of Fairmont <br />Park and had made the request for rezoning of the property <br />under consideration at this time. He presented pictures of <br />the proposed development for shopping facilities as well as <br />multi-family units and discussed the possibility of medical <br />care project at a later date. <br />D. WALTER ROBERSON - Chairman of Plannin and Zoning <br />Commission - was recognized and stated that the P anning and <br />Zoning Commission had had two or three meetings for considera- <br />tion of the proposed rezoning for this project and the P & Z <br />Commission voted unanimously to rezone this property. The <br />P & Z Commission would stand on the unanimous vote for the <br />rezoning of 78.0575 acres, W. M. Jones Survey, from Residential <br />to Commercial. <br />• <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Kibodeaux asked if there was anyone desiring <br />to speak in opposition to the rezoning? There was none. <br />The joint public hearing was declared closed. <br />CONSIDER APPROVING ORDINANCE N0. 780-FF--After the <br />proposed ordinance was read in full, motion by Commissioner <br />Boyle, seconded by Commissioner Cline to approve Ordinance <br />No. 780-FF as read. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 780, THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE ZON2NG ORDINANCE, BY CHANGING THE <br />CLASSIFICATION OF THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND HEREIN <br />DESCRIBED: AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />This, Agenda Item No. 24, was taken out of sequence. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />
