JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISS-ION TO <br />CONSIDER REZONING BLOCKS 1218, 1445, AND TRACT 9, JOHNSON <br />HUNTER, TQWN OF LA PORTS, FRDM RESIDENTIAI~ TO "C" APARTMENT <br />AND COMMERCIAL (CONTINUED) <br />Mr. Charles Christensen, Chairman of the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission, was recognized and addressed the Commission. <br />Mr. Christensen stated that Blocks 1218, 1445, and Tract 9, <br />Johnson Hunter, were brought into the City by annexation; <br />that there were several businesses already there and that the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that this property <br />be rezoned to "C" Apartment and Commercial District. <br />Mayor Meza asked if there was anyone desiring to speak against <br />the rezoning? There was no one desiring to speak. <br />Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner <br />Simons to rezone Blocks 1218, 1445, and Tract 9, Johnson <br />Hunter, Town of La Porte, from Residential to "C" Apartment <br />and Commercial District. Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />• AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />The Joint Public Hearing adjourned at 7:08 P.M. <br />+ + + <br />5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING - JUNE 9, 1977 - <br />EMERGENCY SPECIAL MEETING - JUNE 15, 1977 - Motion by Commissioner <br />Tomerlin, seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux to approve the minutes <br />of the regular meeting of June 9, 1977, and the emergency special <br />meeting of June 15, 1977. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />
