MAXINE SHERIDAN - <br />was recognized and addressed the Commission regarding the need <br />of a red light at 225 and Oak Park, or consider opening up 9th <br />Street from Main Street to Oak Park, because of the hazards to <br />get in and out of Oak Park Mobile Home Park. Mrs. Sheridan <br />presented a petition and stated she would appreciate any help <br />the Commission might be able to give. <br />Mayor Meza accepted the petition and stated it would be given <br />to the State Highway Department for their consideration and <br />recommendation. <br />+ + + <br />7. CONSIDER AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO SIGN PLANS FOR FAIRMONT PARKWAY <br />WIDENING - Motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded by Commissioner <br />Simons to authorize the Mayor to sign the plans for the widening <br />of Fairmont Parkway. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />• NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />8. RATIFY AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO SIGN RESOLUTION NO. 77-7 <br />AUTHORIZING CITY OF LA PORTE TO ACT AS THE AGENT OF THE <br />BAYSHORE MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT, TO OBTAIN A FEDERAL <br />CONSTRUCTION GRANfi UNDER PUBLIC LAW 92-500 -Motion by Com- <br />missioner Tomerlin, seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux to <br />ratify authorizing the Mayor to sign Resolution No. 77-7 <br />authorizing the City of La Porte to act as the agent of <br />the Bayshore Municipal Utility District, to obtain a federal <br />construction grant under Public Law 92-500. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />
