• Regular Meeting 1/23/78 <br />4. JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION TO <br />CONSIDER ALLOWING A DUPLEX TO BE BUILT ON LOTS 19 THRU 24, <br />BLOCK 12, BAY FRONT ADDITION - Mayor Meza opened the joint <br />public hearing and asked if there was anyone desiring to <br />speak in favor of allowing a duplex to be built on Lots 19 <br />thru 24, Block 12, Bay Front Addition? <br />3 <br />Charles Christensen, Chairman of Planning & Zoning Commission <br />was recognized, stating that the Planning & Zoning Commission <br />was in favor of allowing the duplex to be built. They felt <br />it would be an asset to the area, provided that it met all <br />the building requirements. <br />Mr. H. P. Pfeiffer was recognized and stated that he was <br />not notified and did not understand why. Mr. Pfeiffer did <br />not own property within 200 feet of the property in question. <br />He stated that he would like additional information. <br />Mrs. Pilkington was present and had a set of plans for the <br />proposed duplex. There would be a family member living in <br />one side and the other side would be someone else. <br />• After a brief discussion with Mrs. Pilkington, Mr. Pfeiffer <br />stated that he had no objections to the duplex. <br />There was no one else desiring to speak for or against the <br />duplex. <br />r The joint public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion by Commissioner Simons, seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux <br />to allow a duplex to be built on Lots 19 thru 24, Block 12, Bay <br />Front Addition. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING - JANUARY 9, 1978 - <br />Motion by Commissioner Tomerlin, seconded by Commissioner Simons <br />to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of January 9, 1978, <br />as presented. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, and Simons. <br />• NAYS: None. <br />
