APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, <br />seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin to approve the accounts payable <br />as presented. A copy is attached and made a part of these minutes. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />7. VISITORS WISHING TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION - MR. JIMMY RAY <br />SPRADLING - 3302 Valley Brook Drive - representing Fairmont <br />Park Homes Association was recognized and addressed the <br />Commission regarding street lights in certain areas, feeling <br />that the developer should have to pay because he had replatted <br />certain areas and the City should not pay for these lights; <br />the need for better inspections and close guards for building. <br />If the City did not have sufficient help to make proper inspections <br />then we should hire additional inspectors. <br />• + + + <br />8. CONSIDER AWARDING BIDS - TWO 1978 COMPACT PICK-UP TRUCKS - <br />Motion by Commissioner Tomerlin, seconded by Commissioner <br />Kibodeaux to accept the recommendation of the City Administrator <br />and award the bid to the low bidder, Jay Marks, for two 1978 <br />compact pick-up trucks in the amount of $3,609.70 each. Motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />9. CONSIDER AWARDING BIDS - ONE 1978 UTILITY TRUCK - Motion by <br />Commissioner Simons, seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux to <br />accept the recommendation of the City Administrator and award <br />the bid for 1978 utility truck to the low bidder Lumus Baytown <br />Dodge in the amount of $7,845.59, it the truck had a steel bed <br />and not wooden. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />
