RECONVENE PUBLIC HEARING WITH CHARTER REVISION COMMITTEE TO <br />PROVIDE CITIZENS .THE OPPORTUNITY TO' COMMENT ON THE PROPOSED <br />NEW HOME RULE CHARTER FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND THE PROPOSED <br />BOUNDARY LINES FOR DISTRICTS FOR ELECTION OF COUNCILPERSONS <br />UNDER THE PROPOSED" REVISIONS TO THE HOME RUT~E CHARTER OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE - Mayor Meza reopened the public hearing and <br />asked for a breakdown of Whites, Blacks .and Browns for the <br />proposed four district plan. They are as follows: <br />DISTRICT A 2,420 WHITES <br />84 BLACKS <br />3'09 BROWNS <br />2,813 TOTAL <br />DISTRICT B 2,165 WHITES <br />• 221 BLACKS <br />317 BROWNS <br />2,703 TOTAL <br />DISTRICT C 1,687 WHITES <br />894 BLACKS <br />237 BROWNS <br />2,818 TOTAL <br />DISTRICT D 2,668 WHITES <br />58 BLACKS <br />88 BROWNS <br />2,814 TOTAL <br />GRANT TOTAL 8,940 WHITES <br />1,257 BLACKS <br />951 BROWNS <br />11,148 <br />Copies of the above was made available for anyone that wished <br />a copy. A copy is attached and made a part of these minutes. <br />Mayor Meza asked Mrs. Eugenia Riley if she had a proposed map <br />for district lines? <br />• <br />
