• Regular Meeting 12/5/79 5 <br />7. CONSIDER REZONING REQUEST TO REZONE SEVERAL TRACTS OF LAND OUT <br />OF THE W. M. JONES SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 482, HARRIS COUNTY, <br />TEXAS (EDDIE GRAY PROPERTIES IN FAIRMONT PARK) FROM RESIDENTIAL <br />TO "C" APARTMENT AND COMMERCIAL (CONTINUED) - <br />Mr. Gray stated that whatever was built would be in keeping <br />with the neighborhood; he hoped to attract good builders for <br />townhomes, patio homes and apartments; have good landscaping <br />that would give meaning to the area. <br />Motion by Commissioner Tomerlin, seconded by Commissioner <br />Simons, based on the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission, to rezone these properties, after the proposed <br />ordinance had been read in full. Motion carried by the follow- <br />ing vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin and Simons. <br />NAYS: Commissioner Kibodeaux and Cline. <br />Mayor Meza voted aye, and broke the tie. <br />• CAPTION: ORDINANCE NO. 780-TT - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 780, THE CITY OF LA PORTE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY CHANGING THE <br />CLASSIFICATION OF THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />8. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS - A. The Administrator stated that <br />the auditor had finished the office work on the audit draft <br />and would present it to the staff on Friday and to the Commission <br />the latter part of December. <br />B. The Administrator stated that work through Harris County <br />Community Development for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Streets would be <br />starting after the first of the year. <br />C. The Administrator stated that Mr. David Corbin and Roy Young <br />would update the Commission on the E.P.A. Sewer Project. <br />Plats were presented to the Commission members showing the <br />proposed project. <br />Mr. Corbin stated that there had been delays in getting proposals <br />• for energy and treatment and the project was about six weeks <br />behind schedule. <br />
