ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS (CONTINUED) <br />Mr. Corbin stated that the plan was to submit plans and specifi- <br />cation to the State by March 1st. <br />Mr. Corbin explained the proposed operation of the plant and <br />that it was designed so that one basin and one clarifier could <br />be closed down the the other one operating. <br />There was a brief discussion regarding the sludge, its possible <br />usage and the disposal of same; a comparison of truck hauling <br />to drying beds and the fact that it could not be dumped at the <br />landfill and the fact that all disposal will be a problem in <br />the next year. <br />An estimated project schedule was distributed. A copy is <br />attached and made a part of these minutes. <br />Mr. Corbin further stated that they planned to request authori- <br />zation to go for bids by August lst and the facility would be <br />under contract by October lst. <br />• There was a brief discussion regarding the priority list, that <br />we have been authorized for Step II funding; plan to send <br />application for Step III by May lst. The cost estimate is <br />still $3,610,000 plus 10% contingency esclation of $310,000. <br />Mr. Corbin stated that there was still a problem in the location <br />of the water line from Fairmont Park to HW 146 and we are exploring <br />other avenues and the line may be put in the Right -Of -Way of <br />Fairmont Parkway and HW 146. We have not been able to find any- <br />thing that says that "L" and'K" Streets have been closed and <br />are continuing to check. <br />There was a brief discussion regarding gravity flow of the line. <br />D.
