CONSIDER APPROVING PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 780-W - ORDINANCE <br />REZONING BLOCKS 726 AND 727, LA PORTS, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, <br />FROM "C" APARTMENT AND COMMERCIAL TO LIGHT INDUSTRIAL (PIERSIDE <br />INDUSTRIES) - After the proposed ordinance was read in full, <br />motion by Commissioner Simons, seconded by Commissioner Cline <br />to approve Ordinance No. 780-W as read. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 780, THE CITY OF <br />LA PORTS ZONING ORDINANCE, BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF <br />THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.(BLOCKS 726 AND 727, LA PORTS, INDUSTRIAL, <br />PROVIDED THAT USE OF SAID PROPERTY BE LIMITED TO LIGHT INDUSTRY.) <br />+ + + <br />7. CONSIDER FORMAL ACCEPTANCE OF FAIRMONT PP,RK WEST, SECTION V - <br />• The Administrator referred to the memo from the City Inspector <br />recommending acceptance of Fairmont Park West, Section V by <br />City personnel. All tests have been made and approved. A copy <br />of the memo is attached and made a part of these minutes. The <br />Administrator recommended formal acceptance by the City. <br />Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner Cline <br />to accept Fairmont Park West, Section V. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />8. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS - A. The Administrator stated that during <br />the rain of the past few days, we have experienced excessive <br />infiltration into our sanitary sewer system and we have a group <br />of citizens present that have been affected more severely. There <br />will be an agenda item at the work shop to address the Commission <br />on January 30, 1980. Further stating that he felt most of the <br />Commission was aware of the situation because of the problems that <br />we have been having for some time. <br />• <br />
