<br />• Art. 1192, rcbist,ration <br />1f a majority of the qualified voters at said election in each of <br />said cities shall vote in favor of consolidation, the mayor or chief <br />executive of3icer exercising like or simi)ar Powers of each of said <br />cities as soon as practicab)e after the returns of said election have been <br />made, shall certify to the Secretary of State an authenticated copy <br />under the seal of the said cities showing the approval of the qualified <br />voters of the consolidation of the two cities. The Secretary of State <br />shall thereupon file and record the same in a separate book to be kept <br />in his ofT'ice for such purpose. All outstanding lia- <br />bilities of the two cities so consolidated shall be assumed by the con- <br />solidated city. ~~'henever at the time of any such consolidation the <br />respective cities shall have on hand any bond funds voted for public <br />improvements not already appropriated or contl.zcted for, such money <br />shall be kept in a separate ftu~d and devoted to public improvements <br />in the territory for which such bonds v: ere voted, and shall not be <br />diverted to any other purpose.
