• • <br />r ~ <br />LJ <br />MEMORANDUM <br />Marcy 17, 1981 <br />T0: Mayor and-City Council <br />FROM: Planning and Zoning Commiss-ion <br />SUBJECT: Rezoning Strip along Old Highway 146 from Residential <br />to Commercial <br />Planning and Zoning met March 16, 1981, to consider the <br />request from Council for a recommendation regarding a strip of <br />land along Old Highway 146. This property was annexed by the <br />City of La Porte in 1973, and has not received a permanent zoning <br />classification. It cam into the City as R-1, but much of it has <br />been under commercial use. <br />Planning and Zoning considers the subject property well <br />suited for commercial use. Our preliminary recommendation is <br />that the property be rezoned from R-1 to C-Apartment and Commercial. <br />Subject property lies along the west side of Old Highway 146 for <br />a depth of 266 feet, and extends from McCabe Road northward to <br />Little Cedar Bayou, including Block 1437. <br />Respectfully, <br />~~ <br />Pat Muston, Chairman <br />PM/cb <br /> <br />• <br />
