City Attorney Askins read Ordinance No. 1254: AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AN ELECTRICAL CODE FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN ~mETINGS LAW; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION THEREOF SHALL BE FINED IN ANY SUM NOT MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00); AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
