You can't hear it but maybe 30 feet <br />away . <br />Malone: You can't hear it 30 feet away? <br />Skelton: Is this considered a large shop with 30 or 40 people <br />work niwork g in it, or will it be a small shop with just yourself <br />and maybe one or two employees? <br />Fladeland: Myself and possibly one employee. <br />Meza: Does Council have any further questions? If not, we <br />will ask Planning and Zoning to retire to consider their recom- <br />mendation to the Council concerning this property. This is <br />a public meeting in the conference room and we will continue <br />on with our regular meeting until such time as P & Z is ready <br />with their recommendation. The second request for rezoning <br />was withdrawn. <br />• The Joint Public Hearing is adjourned at 7:48 P.M. <br />5. The Regular Meeting of the La Porte City Council was called <br />to order at 7:55 P.M. by Mayor J. J. Meza. <br />6. Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve the minutes <br />as presented. Seconded by Councilperson Kibodeaux. The motion <br />carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, Simons, <br />Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: None <br />7. City Manager Hudgens asked that consideration of Emergency <br />Ambulance bids be moved to the last item of business, since <br />it would require an executive session before action could be <br />taken. This met with Council approval. <br />8. City Attorney Askins read Ordinance No. 1262 and 1263 closing <br />the alley ways in Blocks 1177 and 1178, Town of La Porte. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Malone to approve and accept <br />Ordinance No. 1262 and 1263 as read.. Seconded by Councilperson <br />Skelton. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, Simons, <br />Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />• Nays: None <br />
