Seconded by Council- <br />person Skelton. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, <br />Simons, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Council considered the recommendation presented by Parks <br />and Recreation Director Sherwood stating the bids received <br />on the sprinkler system for City Hall grounds were not <br />satisfactory in that they did not meet bid specifications <br />as submitted. Sherwood recommended all bids be rejected <br />and the project be re-bid. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Faris to reject all bids <br />received on the City Hall sprinkler system as recommended <br />by Parks and Recreation Director Sherwood and re-bid the <br />project. Seconded by Councilperson Simons. The motion <br />carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, <br />Simons, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Council considered the recommendation presented by Parks <br />and Recreation Director Sherwood, stating he had received <br />only one bid to roof the Library and the Evelyn Kennedy <br />Civic Center, in the amount of $27,000. Sherwood felt the <br />bidder was reliable and he could meet the bid price from <br />his budgeted funds. <br /> <br />Motion <br />wood's <br />in the <br />gren. <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />was made by Councilperson Kibodeaux to accept Sher- <br />recommendatlon and award the bld to Rudy's Roofing <br />amount of $27,000. Seconded by Councilperson Wester- <br />The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, <br />Simons, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />None <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />City Attorney Askins read Resolution 81-18: A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING THE WISDOM, EXPEDIENCY, NECESSITY AND ADVISABILITY <br />FOR THE FORMATION OF THE SOUTH EAST TEXAS HOUSING FINANCE <br />CORPORATION. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Simons to pass and approve <br />Resolution No. 81-18 as read by the City Attorney. Seconded <br />by Councilperson Westergren. The motion carried, 8 ayes and <br />1 nay. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, Simons, Gay, <br />Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />
