Council Action: <br />Malone: Questioned load limits on residential streets. <br />Asked about effects and specifications for using Macadoo on <br />streets in La Porte. <br />Simons: Requested an executive session on personnel. <br />Gay: Questioned truck traffic on 8th Street. <br />Westergren: Consider landscaping thoroughfares coming into <br />the City in next year's budget. <br />Mayor Meza: Mayor Meza read Resolution. 81-26, A Resolution <br />authorizing Harris County to install and maintain traffic <br />lights at Spencer and 16th Street. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Ribodeaux to pass and ap- <br />prove Resolution 81-2~. Secon ed y Counci person Ma one. <br />• The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, <br />Simons, Gay, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: None <br />17. Council adjourned into executive session at 7:49 P.M. <br />Council returned to the Council table at 8:30 P.M. <br />Mayor Meza asked that the minutes reflect that the Council has <br />taken under consideration the case of Officer Jack Maxwell. <br />Officer Maxwell was injured in an on-duty accident in May of <br />1979 and has continued problems relating to that injury. <br />Mayor Meza advised the Council he had discussed the demolition <br />of the old Public Works building. <br />18. There being no further business to come before the Council, the <br />meeting was duly adjourned at 8:34 P.M. <br />Res ectfull submitted: <br />a~~ <br />et T.
