This one letter states, "beer and wine will only be served on our premises with the customer's option to buy food." I think it should say, "food will be served with the customer's option to buy beer and wine. The intent of the ordinance is that beer not be served unless the customer buys food, not just that food be available. (Askins read both letters, and they are a part of these official minutes.) Skelton: If we're going to have this, and I know that according to this letter we are assured that the plumbing or septic system is going to work. I'm not aware that we are going to have this line available behind his place or in the alley or wherever. Meza: Mr. Skelton, the line is not going to be available be- hind their place, but it is available according to the diagram across Fairmont Parkway. Faris: Mr. Skelton, the line is in the ground. • Meza: The line is there. As I understand from John and Jerry, the new sewer plant will be on-stream by the first or middle of March. Is that correct? That is what we are shooting for. And it will be their responsibility to tap into that line. Skelton: Then it would be your client who would be paying for this boring and this additional cost. Hodge: Mr. Mayor, let me just say that this will be out of the 200 foot range which requires that they hook on to the sanitary sewer. Paulissen: No, sir, it is not. According to our. measurement, it is approximately 180 feet from the manhole to the property line. Hodge: Then I withdraw my comment. Mayor Meza stated he had a motion to approve and pass Ordinance No. 1000E as read and a second. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays.
