The City Attorney read: AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE BUILDING <br />LOCATED ON LOTS 22-24, BLOCK 67, LA PORTE ADDITION, 222-220 <br />NORTH 7TH, TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, TO BE IN <br />FACT A NUISANCE; ORDERING SUCH BUILDING CONDEMNED; FINDING <br />THAT EMMA BULLOCK IS THE RECORD OWNER OF SAID PROPERTY; <br />ORDERING THE SAID OWNER TO ENTIRELY REMOVE OR TEAR DOWN SUCH <br />BUILDING; ORDERING THE SAID OWNER TO COMMENCE SAID REMOVAL <br />OR DEMOLITION WITHIN TEN (10) DAYS FROM THE EFFECTIVE DATE <br />OF THIS ORDINANCE; ORDERING THE FIRE CHIEF TO PLACE A NOTICE <br />ON SAID BUILDING; ORDERING THE CITY SECRETARY TO FORWARD A <br />COPY OF THIS ORDINANCE TO SAID OWNER; PROVIDING FOR THE REMOVAL <br />OF SAID PREMISES BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE IF NOT REMOVED BY <br />SAID OWNER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF <br />A motion was made by <br />adopt Ordinance No. <br />by Councilperson Wes <br />0 nays. <br />Council <br />317 as <br />rgren. <br />person Matuszak to ap <br />read by the City Atto <br />The motion carried, <br />rove and <br />ney. Mayor Cline read the Emergency Addendum which was certified <br />by the City Secretary as having been posted prior to the <br />meeting being convened or called to order. <br />The Council considered authorization of financing and purchase <br />of an ambulance for leasing to the La Porte Area Emergency <br />Corps. <br />City Manager Owen reported on the status of the Emergency <br />Corps and the urgency of this emergency. Three emergency bids <br />were submitted for Council consideration. <br />Summers Ambulance & Coach Sales $35,510.00 <br />Braun Industries, Inc. 42,024.00 <br />Texas Superior, Inc. 39,450.00 <br />City Manager Owen informed Council interest rates were checked <br />with Borg-Warner Leasing, Bayshore National Bank and First <br />City Bank of La Porte. First City Bank of La Porte quoted the <br />best rate at 8.25 percent simple interest. Owen recommended <br />36 month financing. <br />A_motion was made by Councilperson Graves authorizing the City <br />• Manager to obtain a loan with First City Bank of La Porte and <br />purchase an ambulance from Summers Am ulance & Coach Sales in <br />
